Normally when you hear the words Provo River you think of a Blue Ribbon trout river with amazing fly fishing for brown and rainbow trout. But for locals, the Provo serves as a mellow float to take in the surrounding river of Provo Peak, Timpanogos, Bridal Veil Falls and more.

This weeks Field Test Friday, we chose to float the Provo River on a 15' raft with a few friends and their dog, Sensei. The weather was a perfect 73 degrees with the fall leaves exploding with color. We couldn't have picked a better day to float.

Sensei observes as his owner, Kyle fills the raft with air.

Patiently waiting the put-in by chewing on a branch. It was Sensei's first every experience on a raft.

Our guide for the day, Maddie Tomlinson. Maddie is a professional guide on the Salmon River every summer but was home for the weekend. We were lucky to have her show us some tricks, teach us about river rescue and more.

Maddie chooses Ventureborn rings while working the river every summer. They are safe and super comfortable when rowing and rigging boats for clients in all types of weather conditions.

Thanks for trusting your digits to Ventureborn, Maddie!
